Price Chopper had the biggest, greenest, prettiest bell peppers ever. They were calling my name as I walked by them. Stuffed green pepper images were running through my head. I went into the grocery store to grab some sliced smoked turkey from the deli and came out with all the ingredients to make.....stuffed green peppers! I did not have a recipe so I created one as I went along. I diced up red onion and green pepper and stir fried it in some olive oil....
put the peppers on to boil for a few minutes....
added the ground sirloin in with the onions and peppers.......
browned the meat and sprinkled in lots of worcestershire black pepper and a little minced garlic.....
added a large can of tomato sauce and let it simmer for a few minutes....
while it was doing the simmering thing, I mixed up some ketchup, brown sugar and horseradish.....
then stuffed those peppers tightly......
and sliced up a piece of bacon to put on top of the sauce.....
baked at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.....
and could wait not a second more. They really should have stayed in the oven a little longer because the peppers could have softened up a bit more. Or maybe I should have boiled the peppers a little longer before stuffing them. Whatever......they were good. I sprinkled my plate with cheddar cheese and enjoyed.

Your peppers sound delicious. They sounded really good and then when you added the bacon they sounded even better! Thanks so much for linking up with Tasty Tuesdays!
