A Popeye Surprise (Dylan Part 2)

Katie and I surprised Dylan at his party with this homemade Bon Voyage banner we made with our scrapbooking supplies.  I also got some "American" balloons to add to the festivities
.......He did smile for most of these pictures!  Must have caught him off guard for this one, but I like the placement of the balloons so I had to use it!
We also surprised him with a Popeye The Sailor Man theme...to be as corny as possible.  Felt it was important for a 18 year old to have an embarrassing family moment to remember forever!!!!  I got a can of spinach.  So glad that someone came up with the idea to market a Popeye label!
Grandpa T had an original sailor hat hidden in his garage treasures and he made Dylan a corn cob pipe.  I went to the local feed store and bought a couple of ears of dried corn that was meant to be fed to squirrels and Grandpa improvised with a drinking straw!
Stephanie pulled up Youtube on her I Phone and found a Popeye The Sailor Man song and we teased Dylan and asked him to flex his muscles, chomp on his corn cob pipe and squinch up one eye.  His goofiness prevailed and he enjoyed it as much as we did!!!
I also bought some cheap little sailor hats at U S Toy.  It took us a few minutes to figure out how to fold them so we have a couple of pictures showing our ignorance of proper sailor attire!  Katie posing with Dylan.....
Hannah sporting her sailor hat......
Aaron and Stephanie before we got the hats folded correctly......
Dylan's parents, Lorri and Mike after we got the hats figured out.....
More pictures in front of the Bon Voyage banner and amid the balloons......
Wishing Dylan much success in his new endeavor!
