Minky Brown Bear Brown Bear Quilt

When I came across this Brown Bear Brown Bear fabric on Etsy, I had to snatch it up and add it to my stash for a future project.  Well, it's been about 6 months since I received it and today I made a fun toddler quilt with it.  I pinned three layers together.  Minky, warm and natural batting and the animal print.
My blue minky has a diamond pattern to it so I used this to my advantage for quilting.  Since I find minky so hard to work with and always have issues with it bunching up, I chose to only do my quilting in one direction and I spaced it every four rows to avoid any problems.
Then I got into my stash of Michael Miller Ta Dots and chose 3 colors that complimented the quilt top and made my 2 1/4" binding strips.....
It turned out really well and the multi-colored binding makes it even more fun....

This soft, squishy quilt will also be educational to go along with the book.  A fun, entertaining way to learn the names of different animals.  Brown Bear, Brown Bear what do you see ???
