Robert Kaufman Boy Toys Gift Set

Today I finished an order for one of Katie's friends.  She wanted a quilted changing pad, burp cloths and wash cloths.  I gave her some idea boards to choose from and she went with Robert Kaufman's new line called Boy Toys.  We choose the transportation prints and added some different sizes of polka dots.
I make my quilted changing pads using 5" squares but the scale of two of the fabrics was too large this time, so I chose to make 5" strips for the race cars and the airplanes.
I quilted it using a free motion quilting technique....
and made my own binding with the scraps.......

I
It turned out really nice and I especially like the large green polka dot
 for the backing.....
I made five 8" washcloths......

with bamboo velour in yellow, green and blue for the backing....
Five matching burp cloths...

All turned out really well.  Scroll down to see who I have linked to this week.

  1. Found you at Sew Darn Crafty--and I just added a disappearing 9 patch quilt with some of the same fabrics. My quilt store doesn't carry the whole line, and I skipped on the race cars because the print was too large for my plan.

Super cute! It's neat to see the same fabrics in another way.
