Today, Try To Have A Little Faith

Today we got the results of Grandma S' PET scan.  Things are not going in the direction we wanted them to.  The pancreatic cancer has spread, it decided it would jump on over to the liver.  So that makes it have to be categorized as a stage four.  Tomorrow there will be an MRI to look at the spine.  We are praying that the cancer did not take up residence there as well.
She's a trooper.  She's a go-getter.  She's strong and she inspires me to be the best I can be.  To be the best mother I can possibly be to my children.  She has taught me well.  I've quietly watched her gentle spirit over the last twenty nine years.  Taken in every bit of her mothering skills and her teaching talents.  She's taught me patience.  She's taught me to lead by example.

Tonight, as the sun goes down and I reflect back on all the events of today, the conversations and the tears, all that keeps coming to my mind is.....................Today, I will search for faith.   Someday there will be a cure for diabetes and cancer.  I wish it was right now.

  1. Praying for you and your family. Thankful for an eternity without disease or tears.

  2. Praying for God to take away this disease. With God all things are possiable.
