Busiek State Forest and Wildlife Area

Last weekend Aaron and I went to Busiek State Forest and Wildlife Area to do some exploring and walk along the creek bed.  This place is located off of Highway 65 just north of Branson Missouri.  The weather was a little chilly, the sky was overcast for most of the day, but the scenery was awe inspiring and full of things to take in and talk about.  Sierra was also fun to watch.  She was full of excitement and created her own adventures!
We spent a lot of time in the creek, walking on the crushed rocks and taking in all nature had to offer.  The colors were beautiful and we found surprises everywhere we looked......
Sierra enjoyed pouncing in the water and chasing small stones Aaron would skip across the creek......

Little "pops" of nature's colors were so pretty I just had to take a picture every time we came across something that caught my eye.....
The maple leaves were huge.  We could not believe how big and perfect they were.....
Aaron thought of capturing this shot by standing at the base of the tree and looking up.  What a great idea for a cool picture......

The clouds started to break as we were heading out of the forest........
Sierra taking off on another adventure.....

We did not see this sign until we got back to our car!  Good thing too or I may not have entered!  We never saw a squirrel, rabbit, bird or BEAR the entire trip!
Sierra had a grand time and was worn out that night.....
