Home Goods Find Gives Me Fabric Organization

Yesterday Katie and I were at Home Goods.  Our tried and true plan is to not get a cart when we walk in the door.  Because, everytime we do get a cart we don't find anything we like.  So yesterday we did not get a cart and within the first 5 minutes of being in the store I had already spotted 3 things that I wanted.  A trellis for my clematis, a padded stool for my closet and this beaut shown above.  I already had intended to buy some baskets to store my fabrics in but when I saw this, I had a change of heart.  This treasure was going to work perfectly.  All wood and iron with five organizational drawers was right up my alley!  Katie grabbed this storage unit and carried it to the front counter where we hid it from other shoppers and then we finished scouraging the aisles.  In the end this was the only thing I bought from Home Goods yesterday.  Last night I had to fill all the drawers.  I made the top two be for scraps......

The third one holds my girl fabrics............

The fourth drawer holds my boy fabrics....

And the bottom drawer holds gender neutral fabrics........

So this new cabinet sits at one end of my eat in kitchen (since I do all my sewing at the kitchen table).......

And this boy sits at the other end of the kitchen.  HE thinks he's hiding!  I think he is as rotten as they come!
