Quilt Blog Hop Festival 2010

AmysCreativeSide.com is hosting her third annual Blogger's Quilt Festival. This is my first time to participate.  I finished a small quilt tonight that I started last weekend.  I'm new to the free motion quilting process and need lots of practice so last week I went through my fabric closet and pulled out some scraps of matching fabrics to make a small floor quilt for a baby girl.  I was determined to not buy anything new to make this quilt but to make do with whatever I could find in my sewing supplies.  I finished off three spools of partially used white thread, scraps of batting and scraps of various prints and colors.  The finished size is 43 by 32 inches.
I'm happy with my stippling technique and think I've got it down pretty good now.  Still need to work on the corners of my binding.  Guess I'll just have to keep making lots of quilts to get that part mastered too.  Click here to get back to Amy's blog to view all the entries in the blog hop festival.

  12. I'd say your stash yielded a lovely baby quilt. Free motion quilting does take practice. For me its going to take lots and lots of practice.
