Grandpa loves having his garage sales. This last week has brought some unusually warm days for February in the Midwest, so that offered my dad an opportunity to sit out his treasures and put up his signs. He woke up at 2:30 this morning, started putting his signs out around 4:30, started sitting his stuff out on the driveway at 5:00 a.m. so he could be ready for customers at his start time of 9:00 a.m. He had people pulling up to the house well before nine. I was not that ambitious! I got there at 11:30 and stayed till closing at 4:00 p.m.
Dad goes to liquidation auctions every week and bids on whatever looks good and will make him a profit. For this sale today he had a huge variety of items from CVS. We are guessing a truck bound for CVS must have wrecked and the contents were sent to liquidation. However they got there is good, because Dad got some items at a really good price. He also gets items from other places. Here a few unusual things I took a picture of today....
I've never noticed (Don't) Bite It, Pastillas McCoy cod fish liver oil extract tablets or Colirio Ocusan lubricating redness reliever in the stores I go to. Wonder where this stuff is really sold at?
Dad always has an assortment of different things at each sale. Furniture items, tools, household goods, food items. This black chest of drawers keeps catching my eye. He got it new at the auction. It had a couple of flaws that he was able to conceal...
He's got some Styrofoam wrapping material wrapped around each drawer pull. None of his customers today wanted to pay the price he had on it so it will go back in the garage until his next sale in April.
