South Sea Pit Stop Hot Rods Ride Again Floor Mat

Last week I finished this quilted car mat for Stephanie's nephew Liam.  He can run his cars along the tracks and use it as a blanket as well.  I purchased the panel off of Etsy.  It's called South Sea Pit Stop Hot Rods Ride Again.

I chose a complimenting "caution" yellow for the binding......
And used some Riley Blake's Peak Hour print for the backing.  I quilted it by following the lines of the race track and then some of the traffic signs.  I think it turned out pretty cute and am sure Liam will be pushing his cars all over it.
Scroll down to see who I have linked to this week.

  2. Did you start quilt it from the middle and worked your way out or started in the middle and finished in each corner?

  3. I quilted it by following the lines of the racetrack. I started in the middle and worked towards the corners. That still left some large unquilted areas, so I then quilted around some of the traffic signs. Thanks for looking and good luck with your project!

  5. Is this racetrack fabric available? If so, how wide is it?
